First half of elite 8: Big stars live up to the hype, except Jimmer.

So I watched some of the games last night, and it was my first real look at Jimmer.  I wasn't impressed.  I know he's good, but he just didn't play like it last night.  Look at what Williams did for Arizona and what Walker did for UConn.  They put their teams on their backs and elevated them to victory.  Williams was 11-17 overall, but 5-6 from 3 point land.  32 points, 13 rebounds(6 on the offensive glass), 2 assists and 2 blocked shots.  Amazing performance.  Kemba Walker started off 0 for 5, but came back to finish 12-25 for 36 points, 4-8 from 3 point land, and he scored 22 second half points, including 12 straight at one point.  Started off slow, but finished strong and led his team to victory.  He was on the court the entire 40 minutes.  Jimmer started off slow and finished the same way.  He only shot 3-15 from long distance, some of them terrible shots far off the line.  It was like he was just content to  stay on the outside and miss jumpers.  And in the overtime?  Disappeared.  0-2 from three, and had 2 turnovers.  This is a sweet 16 game; a lose and go home, win and have a chance to play for the national championship game.  Big time players need to step it up in big time spots in big time games. I guess I just expected more from "The Jimmer".

  2. what did you think about when obama made some speech on tv telling the tarheels to not let him down and then them winning it? i think it was kind of an unfair advantage. i thought about it a lot, and if the f-ing president of the united states of america was like, hey bro, win this game for me, i would try to a degree i have never tried before!
